Partner Microsite: Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy
LKYSPP: About our partnership approach
The LKY School offers one PhD and four Master degree programmes: Master in Public Policy (MPP), Master in Public Administration (MPA), Master in Public Management (MPM) and a Master in Public Administration and Management (MPAM) programme taught in Mandarin for Chinese mid-career students.
While the curricula of the these programmes are structured around modules and pedagogy followed by many leading schools of public policy around the world, they also stand out for their emphasis on the public policy experiences of Asian countries and the critical challenges they face. The LKY School also has a number of double degrees and concurrent degrees with other universities and faculties.
Also housed within the School are four research centres: the Institute of Water Policy, the Asia Competitiveness Institute, the Centre on Asia and Globalisation, and the Institute of Policy Studies. These centres provide the School with the depth of research capabilities, complementing the faculty and providing critical capabilities in policy-relevant research.
Finally, Executive Education at the LKY School plays an integral role in the School’s mission of inspiring leaders, improving lives and transforming Asia. Executive Education programmes are designed to serve the needs of organisations and working professionals in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, helping strengthen their leadership and management capabilities to perform more effectively in this rapidly changing environment.
The majority of programmes are customised around the needs of client organisations and cover a wide range of policy, international relations and governance topics. Being ISO9001:2008 certified, Executive Education has proven the highest standards of quality in our programmes and service delivery. The LKY School’s experienced team of faculty and senior practitioners have worked with many organisations throughout the region (and beyond) on a broad range of topics, ranging from leadership, strategic management, organisational excellence, policy design and implementation, improving service delivery and managing non-profit organizations effectively. Executive Education works closely with its clients to ensure that the programme content and delivery is specially tailored to best suit their needs and objectives. The customised programmes can be held for a few days or over several years. They are held at the LKY School’s training facilities in Singapore or at client organisations around the world.
Since inception in 2004, the Executive Education department of the LKY School has trained over 13,000 leaders from more than 80 countries, including about 2,500 officers from various Singapore Ministries, Statutory Boards, and departments.
