PRESS RELEASE: Bayer has published its Annual Report 2014.
For the second time, since 2013, the Germany-based multinational with core competencies in the fields of health care, agriculture and high-tech polymer materials has combined its financial and sustainability reporting.
In the report, the company examines the interactions between financial, ecological and societal factors, underlining their influence on its long-term development. Bayer documents its business achievements and explains how sustainability is contributing to its future success.
In the future, Bayer intends to focus entirely on its Life Science businesses – HealthCare and CropScience. It will float MaterialScience on the stock market as a separate company at the end of 2015. In this way Bayer is positioning itself as a world-leading company in the field of human, animal and plant health.
In order to balance economic growth, ecological stewardship and social responsibility Bayer is running a sustainability program with measurable targets and key performance indicators such as occupational, process & plant and transportation safety, product stewardship, resource efficiency and supplier management.
